Within the first couple of calls we had completed our 500th call since we started in 2006. We found that the month of April was one of our busiest, since we started, we had 17 calls during the month, with Easter being late and the weather being so good, Lulworth was a very busy place. The Royal Wedding day thankfully was a quiet day. One of our last calls of April involved the Air Ambulance, which landed on one of the recognized landing sites in Lulworth. This site is the field that overlooks Lulworth Cove, which must be a lovely view for the crew and pilot when they land there on a sunny day. The Ambulance drove into the temporary landing site, transferred the patient to the Air Ambulance for transfer to Hospital When the Air Ambulance takes off we quite often have to keep the area clear as you can imagine seeing something like this is quite a draw for the crowds. As I said the crew would get a lovely view, but they are normally kept busy with the patient.
