Now that the summer seems to have left us and we are now heading towards the colder times, and the threat of snow again this winter we continue to be kept busy, we have experianced our busiest year ever dealing with 100 calls since the beginning of April this year.
 
August saw us deal with 15 possible life threatening calls and then we found September even busier with 20 calls. This added to our calls between April and August just shows how busy things can get. Our second busiest 24 hour period ever was in September where we dealt with 5 calls in one 24 hour period.

We thank you for your support, but we do need more people to join us, to help with the day cover and to relieve some of the night volunteers who are on most times. If you know anyone who is interested please contact South Western Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust for more info or speak to a responder. We unfortunately can't help with getting you on board as it is all controlled by SWAST at Exeter.
