Our Friends at Durdle Door

Ruth, with her helpers hold a bric a brac stall outside her caravan every Saturday morning, weather permitting. She also has a tombola every so often in the Man O' War Club. Over the years Ruth has raised money for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance, and recently us. Ruth decided that in 2010 she would reduce what she sold and run the stall solely for Lulworth Responders. At the end of the season we received a cheque from her for the fantastic amount of £2000. We have decided that this amount of money should be kept to go towards a replacement vehicle when we need it. Our current vehicle is fine at the moment although it is 10 years old, it has less than 23000 miles on the clock, but at some stage it will need replacing and this gives us a good start towards saving money for its replacement.

A big thank you to Ruth and her helpers from Lulworth First Responders

Ruth has continued to support us in 2011 and along with the raffle which was organised by Durdle Door Park we were very fortunate to receive another £2000 from Ruth and her helpers. A very big thank you from Lulworth First Responders for all your wonderful efforts.

2012

Unfortunately Ruth has decided to call it a day, but only after giving us a final donation of over £1,500, making a grand total of over £6,500 to Lulworth Responders in the years that she has been raising money for us. This is a fantastic amount and we thank Ruth and all her helpers for their efforts over the years.

Ruth has raised over £20,000 since she started selling a few books for Charity.

Ruth had only been donating to Lulworth First Responders since 2007, and only in the last three years have we been the sole beneficiary of all the money she has raised. Ruth had in the past raised money for the Somerset & Dorset Air Ambulance plus other charities. We really do appreciate all her efforts and everyone else who supports us.

Christmas 2014

Ruth has continued to make further donations to us since 2012, but was not well enough to run her stall or Tombolas, but at Christmas she has written to us to say that due to her increasing ill health she will not be coming back to Durdle Door in 2015.
We are sorry to hear this, she is a great lady and we thank her and her helpers who over the years have supported us in such a generious way. We will miss visiting her as a friend at Durdle Door.
